Common questions about SmartCookieWeb extensions.
Permission requests
When you install an extension in SmartCookieWeb, you will be able to view a list of permissions.
By installing that extension, you are allowing it to access the APIs listed, and so alter the browser's behaviour.
Here are some common permission messages, and what it allows the extension to access:
Permission | Description |
---|---|
Access your data for all websites | The extension can read the content of any webpage, including what you enter into the page. |
Access your data for sites in the "X" domain | The extension can read the content of the specified domain only. |
Access your data in "X" other domains | Used when the extension lists 5 or more domains it wants to view the content of. |
Access your data for “X” | The extension can read the content of the specified website only. |
Access your data on # other sites | Used when the extension lists 5 or more websites it wants to view the content of. |
Compatibility
Currently, only some extensions from the Firefox extension store are available. You can see the list of supported add-ons here.
